Nurses´ stressors and psychological distress during the COVID‐19 pandemic: The mediating role of coping and resilience

Temptation and commitment in the laboratory

Temptation and self-control in intertemporal choice environments are receiving increasing attention in the theoretical economics literature. Nevertheless, there remains a scarcity of empirical evidence from controlled environments informing behavior under repeated temptations. This is unfortunate in light of the fact that in many natural environments, the same temptation must be repeatedly resisted. This paper fills that gap by reporting data from a novel laboratory study of economic decisions under repeat temptations. The reconciliation process of market requirements and operations resources – an empirical view

Firms are confronted with the challenge of designing strategy processes, which guide decision-making in a way that leads to high and sustainable performance. The purpose of this paper is to address this challenge, by delivering empirical insights on Slack & Lewis’ concept of reconciliation in Operations Strategy from a process point-of-view. We argue that while this concept roots in the alignment literature of Operations Strategy it has not yet been subject to detailed and empirical research. We discuss the development of a survey that examines if and how reconciliation is carried out in companies and how this affects operations performance.

The Love of Money and Pay Level Satisfaction: Measurement and Functional Equivalence in 29 Geopolitical Entities around the World

Demonstrating the equivalence of constructs is a key requirement for cross-cultural empirical research. The major purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how to assess measurement and functional equivalence or invariance using the 9-item, 3-factor Love of Money Scale (LOMS, a second-order factor model) and the 4-item, 1-factor Pay Level Satisfaction Scale (PLSS, a first-order factor model) across 29 samples in six continents (N = 5973).
